Anne has been teaching for over twenty years and has worked with singers of all kinds in many genres. She understands the day to day difficulties that singing teachers face and will help you to tackle them.
You will build your knowledge and skills
Anne has a deep knowledge of vocal function and will help you to cut through the jargon and extend your own understanding. You will also build observational skills to help you to decide what your students need.
You will get personal attention
There will be a maximum of 8 participants. This means that Anne can help you on a daily basis through the online group. You will also have 1-1 mentoring and group mentoring, plus vital opportunities to share with others.

Can I pay by instalments?
Yes. Please email anne@vocalintuition to arrange a direct debit instalment plan.
Is the course all online?
Mostly, yes. All course materials, discussions, live 1-1 video coaching and group coaching will be online. There will also be an in-person workshop/event at the end of the course
How much personal attention will I get?
You will receive a one hour personal mentoring video call and a one hour group video call per month. In addition Anne will be available to answer your queries and help you on a day to day basis via the platform and/or a secret Facebook group. Other members of the group will also be able to share their experience and ideas with you.
Do i have to submit assignments?
There are no formal "marked" assignments but you will be asked to complete certain tasks in order to progress through the course. These have been specially designed to help you to grow in your understanding, knowledge and confidence as a teacher.
What will I get at the end of the course?
Those who complete the course satisfactorily will receive a certificate to say that they have done so. You will also benefit in many more ways in terms of your teaching practice.

Why can I only see "1 lesson" listed?
This is because the course content will be added as we go along, from April 23rd onwards. This is advantageous as you will be able to concentrate on one thing at a time. There is an overview in the Welcome pdf that you can access on the platform as soon as you have booked.
Meet the expert
Anne Leatherland BSc (Hons) PGCE ALCM LGSM (TD) FISM Vocal Process Associate Trainer Anne is a specialist singing and voice teacher, based in the Midlands, with over twenty years experience in vocal troubleshooting and teaching multiple genres. She is proud to be the owner and director of VocAL Intuition, which offers mentoring and support to singing teachers. Anne has written published resources, including ebooks, lesson plans and app reviews. She also loves using technology in teaching and has given both public presentations and individual training on this. At Liverpool Theatre School (LTS), Anne has trained singers for the Musical Theatre profession and delivered spoken voice sessions on the level 6 Acting course. She has also worked with actors at LIPA and as part of the Developed with the Lowry Programme. Anne works alongside International trainers and authors Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher on a regular basis, and is their first Associate Teacher. She teaches on Vocal Process courses and on the Vocal Process Teacher Accreditation Programme. During her work with them she was a finalist for the BVA Van Lawrence Award (2014) for research into the differences between classical and musical theatre singing.
The knowledge that I'm not the only one with doubts and fears as a teacher has really helped. The personal support in specific areas I need to work on has been amazing too, making me think about what I need to work on and how to achieve my goals.
